What is HuddlEX?
HuddlEX is an educational platform focused on advancing sports management as a credible and structured career pathway.
We examine the breadth of opportunities that exist across the sports industry, from operations, analytics, marketing, and partnerships to governance, strategy, and emerging areas of the sports business, and provide greater clarity around how these careers are built, developed, and sustained.
Through explainers, long-form analysis, and original research, HuddlEX examines the structures and forces shaping careers in sport, including stakeholder influence, institutional practices, access to opportunity, and evolving perceptions of the profession.
Our objective is to make the sports industry more understandable and navigable for students, parents, educators, aspiring professionals, and industry stakeholders, while contributing to a broader understanding of sports management as a profession.

Nirav Muthiyan
Founder
Nirav Muthiyan’s sports career has been shaped by experience with professional teams, major sporting organizations, and global events. He has contributed to the 2023 NFL Super Bowl, the 2024 ICC Cricket World Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup, and the FIFA Final Draw, and has gained experience with organizations including D.C. United, Monumental Sports & Entertainment, and the Washington Spirit.
These experiences across sports operations, events, partnerships, business development, and fan engagement have given him a firsthand perspective on the opportunities and challenges that exist within the sports industry.
That perspective became the foundation for The HuddlEX, an educational platform focused on helping students and aspiring professionals better understand the careers, pathways, and realities of working in sports.
